Few design flaws

Great potential but huge flaws. Calendar interface is somewhat confusing and auto images from tumblr is usually ugly.

Looks great... but looks arent everything

I love the task management app, Any.do - and was super excited to try this out - as I am not a fan of Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. This software has glitches, it crashes, the sync feature pushes and pulls events from Apple Calendar (which is awesome), but it doesnt work well. Sometimes the events dont sync, sometimes it plops the events at the wrong times. Some times the events dont write within the Cal app either. The app crashes off and on. Hopefully once the above are fixed, this will be a rockin application.

Please update

Ive used the app for so many years and have grown used to it. It however required an update.

Available on Mac

I really want to keep this app however its chronically crashing and not saving the events I add. Its really frustrating as it will sometimes add the event and when I reopen the app its not there.

Why no updates?

I love this app, however, the developers havent updated it since 2015. You have something good here, why abandon it?

Crashing all the time!!!!

I used to love this app. Now I cant even add an event or appointment without it crashing. Its just a pain. Gonna find another calendar app. Hopefully this one would be updated for better use soon.

Once you figure out the bugs...

I miss the Sunrise calendar so much. This one has a long way to go to replace it, but I do like it. Some of the issues others have been reporting have come up with me as well. I saved an event three times without it showing up on my calendar, then gave up and closed the app. I opened it again and the event was there three times. Ive since started closing the app every time I add or delete an event, and this seems to resolve the issue. It is annoying to have to do that, though. But I love the features and the interface that greets you when you open the app. I like how it tells you how much free time youll have between events as well as what your next obligation is. I also like how it only displays the current week, but the month view is easily accessible. Both views are important but most calendar apps force me to make a cumbersome trek between the two. Not Cal, though. If you are patient enough to work with the bugs, I think youll like this app. If you want a seamless experience and dont let things slide easily, I wouldnt buy it. But I would keep an eye out for when the developers work out all the kinks, because this is the best calendar app design out there.

LOVE this App!

I should have posted a five-star review years ago. This is the only calendar app I need or use.

Bad

Bad app that glitches and shuts down. When it actually did work it was confusing and would not allow me to set what I wanted. Wouldnt recommend.

Crashes when adding an event

I have many many calendars that need to be synced from different sources, so my calendar tends to look far too cluttered and unwieldy. I was using Calvetica, but on the iPad, all the events look overwhelming and it’s hard to see anything or focus. I want a simple looking calendar that looks great, where one can drill down to see details, that will sync with CalDAV, iCloud, and Google calendars. So, I tried Cal because it looks great and the interface is intuitive. However, the very most basic function crashes the app. I can’t add a new event. At all. When I save, the app crashes and when I reopen, the event that was created is simply New Event, with a default time. Highly disappointed, because even though there’s no iPad version of this app, I was looking forward to using it for my phone. If I only needed a view-only calendar, though, this might do it.

Crashes when trying to create event

I like the UI but the app crashes when I try to create event so its pretty much useless. Shame because the app looks really great.

Great App!

Ive been using Cal with Any.DO for about a week and its been very useful. The presentation is clean, the integration between Any.DO and Cal works well. Ive not had any issues adding calendar items and find it a bit more simple than iCal. It works with Waze well. Whatever bugs there may have been in 2015 (based on other reviews) seem to have been fixed. I think Cal is a really great app (and Im not easy to please!) and well worth using.

Blank/ect.

The different themes are amazing! If they decided to ever show rather than a black or grey background. Also Im not able to create a task on the calendar app I have to go to Any.do And even with that the task doesnt always come up on the calendar:/

Infinite crushes

Coll design but crushes all the time. Forget it.
